Charmian’s 25-year career in senior leadership, across private and public sectors, has taught her the power of workplace support and community. When Charmian received her cancer diagnosis in 2020, this professional experience took on new meaning as she experienced firsthand how workplace support – or lack thereof – impacts someone facing cancer.
Drawing from her own experience navigating breast cancer while in a senior leadership position, Charmian offers practical, heartfelt guidance on transforming how organisations can better support employees through cancer. Charmian understands firsthand the isolation that comes when colleagues don't know what to say, and the profound impact that genuine workplace support can have on someone's cancer journey.
