#HowAreYouDad: Why This Campaign Needs Your Support

As the co-founder of International Fathers’ Mental Health Day alongside Dr Daniel Singley, I’ve spent years hearing the same thing from fathers across the world:
"No one asks how they are".

We rightly focus on mothers and babies but many fathers are left carrying anxiety, pressure, and emotional strain in silence. Up to 39% of fathers say they want more support, particularly after difficult or traumatic births.
This is why the #HowAreYouDad campaign needs to exist.
A Story That Needs to Be Told
At the heart of this campaign is a powerful film idea that captures a quiet, often overlooked reality faced by fathers everywhere.
The idea is simple, human, and deeply relatable, and we hope it has the potential to resonate across the globe in June 2026 as part of International Fathers’ Mental Health Day.
But right now, it exists only as an idea.
Why We Need Your Support
We have the vision, a brilliant small team, and a cost-effective production plan designed to maximise impact while keeping resources focused where they matter most .
What we don’t yet have is the funding to bring it to life.
Your support will help us:
Produce and launch a high-impact global campaign
Reach fathers who may be struggling in silence
Spark an international conversation around fathers’ mental health
Challenge stigma and encourage more people to simply ask: “How are you, dad?”
Be Part of Something That Matters
We have a real opportunity to create something meaningful but we can’t do it without you.
