I can remember the first time I was asked to speak publicly I was terrified, filled with so much self-doubt and anxiety I actually shook.. ‘Why on earth would people want to hear from me?’ ‘what if I freeze?’ ‘what will people think of me?’ After about 5 minutes I was hooked.. I am so very passionate about developing ourselves as people, about understanding what makes us tick, but also about shared experiences. Knowing you are not alone in your self doubt, that its ok to feel nervous, but lets do it anyway.. I love the feeling I get when I see my audience react, when I know I am reaching them, connecting, there is nothing like it. Whether you want a workshop delivered to a large group, or a seminar or simply an inspiring speech for your event I can tailor make my delivery to suit your bespoke needs. info@speakerscollective.org First name Last name Email Your Phone Number About Your Event or Project Speaker or Persons Requested Date picker Event Type Select Event Type Address Submit BOOK A SPEAKER OR GET IN TOUCH FOR MORE INFORMATION

He was hitting his high-flyer targets in his corporate sales job, had loads of mates, and when he wasn’t in the pub, he was playing football. Joe started to have problems with his sleep and eventually found himself on a downward spiral into the depths of depression. His doctor told Joe that his depression was the result of a problem with his brain. What Joe discovered next challenged everything he thought he knew about depression and mental health. Joe recently spoke at TEDxNHS to offer a more evidence-based and hopeful approach to depression. Joe also co-presented the British Psychological Society’s ‘Understanding Depression; the bigger picture’ in the hope that others can be empowered to make informed decisions. Joe also founded Reconnect Club, a social enterprise that helps people find the community and tools they need when they’re experiencing depression. Through Public Speaking and Reconnect Club, Joe uses his own experience of depression to help others find the understanding and hope they need to grow from life’s challenges. info@speakerscollective.org First name Last name Email Your Phone Number About Your Event or Project Speaker or Persons Requested Date picker Event Type Select Event Type Address Submit BOOK A SPEAKER OR GET IN TOUCH FOR MORE INFORMATION

From an initial meeting of 17, Jo is proud to have built a growing supportive communinity of over 60, who meet, train, mentor and assess each other. Her drive to challenge stigma and encourage others to have brave conversations, comes from her personal story of coping with her children’s poor mental health as teenagers and her education background. Despite a successful career, Jo has always suffered from imposter syndrome and is a big fan of the role that therapy can have in supporting her. In April 2018, during a time of personal stress and consequent poor mental health Jo was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease, which caused her to reassess the important things in life.
