Her career in charities and education had already seen her witness public speakers who claimed expertise and failed to signpost for support. From an initial meeting of 17, Jo is proud to have built a growing supportive communinity of over 60, who meet, train, mentor and assess each other. Her drive to challenge stigma and encourage others to have brave conversations, comes from her personal story of coping with her children’s poor mental health as teenagers and her education background. Despite a successful career, Jo has always suffered from imposter syndrome and is a big fan of the role that therapy can have in supporting her. In April 2018, during a time of personal stress and consequent poor mental health Jo was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease, which caused her to reassess the important things in life. Jo counts herself lucky to spend her time and keep learning from truly inspiring colleagues. info@speakerscollective.org First name Last name Email Your Phone Number About Your Event or Project Speaker or Persons Requested Date picker Event Type Select Event Type Address Submit BOOK A SPEAKER OR GET IN TOUCH FOR MORE INFORMATION

Rick is a Peak Performance Mindset Consultant and Coach, Ex-Military & Fire and Rescue Commander, and Co-Founder of Forest4titude LtdRick is a Peak Performance Mindset Consultant and Coach, Ex-Military & Fire and Rescue Commander, and Co-Founder of Forest4titude Ltd < Back Rick Charlton Specialisms: Peak Performance Mindset, Resilience and Mental Health Rick is a Peak Performance Mindset Consultant and Coach, Ex-Military & Fire and Rescue Commander, and Co-Founder of Forest4titude Ltd. With over 30 years of experience leading teams through high-stakes environments, Rick’s understanding of mindset isn’t just from sitting in a classroom, it was learned in the field. His career spans diverse and challenging roles in the British Army, the Fire and Rescue Service, HM Government, and Anti-Poaching Operations in remote Africa. Rick creates a unique bridge between high-pressure tactical leadership and corporate strategy. He has successfully transitioned into the corporate world where he translated frontline lessons into the boardroom, serving as a Head of Change Management and Operations Manager where he led emergency management strategies and large-scale organisational shifts. However, his most profound expertise comes from his personal battle. After years of silently struggling with PTSD, Rick returned to his childhood home in Botswana. There, alone in the Central Kalahari Desert, he fused his personal experiences with Indigenous wisdom, modern psychology, and Applied Metapsychology to move from post-traumatic stress to Post-Traumatic Growth. Today, Rick delivers the Mindspan Peak Performance Mind programme. Whether presenting in a corporate office or hosting immersive sessions around a campfire in the forest, Rick helps businesses build the focus, confidence, and resilience required to thrive. Why Rick? Rick offers more than standard PowerPoint presentations. He is the co-founder of Forest4titude, a philosophy born from the belief that real growth often happens outside the comfort zone. • Battle Tested Wisdom: Rick combines the discipline of uniformed service with the empathy of a survivor. He creates a "sacred space", psychological safety, where teams feel heard and healed. • Immersive Methodology: While he delivers high-impact training in offices, Rick is unique in offering immersive resilience training in nature. By stripping away corporate distractions and gathering teams around a fire, he anchors learning in a way that accelerates trust and honesty. • Holistic Approach: He blends hard tactical skills (Change Management/Operations) with deep human understanding (Mindspan/Indigenous Wisdom). Key Speaking Topics 1. Resilience in the Field: From PTSD to Post-Traumatic Growth Rick shares his raw, personal journey of navigating mental health struggles after decades of service. He de-stigmatises the conversation around mental health in high-performance environments, showing audiences how to transform trauma and stress into fuel for growth and leadership. 2. Leading Through the Fire: High-Stakes Decision Making Drawing on his time as a Fire Service Commander and Anti-Poaching team support, Rick teaches the principles of maintaining focus when the heat is on. He translates emergency management strategies into tools for corporate leaders facing rapid organisational change. 3. The Campfire Mindset: Disconnecting to Reconnect In a hyper connected world, focus is a dying commodity. Rick explores the power of stripping away distractions, mentally and physically; to reclaim attention, build deeper team bonds, and foster honest communication. info@speakerscollective.org First name Last name Email Your Phone Number About Your Event or Project Speaker or Persons Requested Date picker Event Type Select Event Type Address Submit BOOK A SPEAKER OR GET IN TOUCH FOR MORE INFORMATION
