Dr Andrew Wood is a Performance Psychologist, Editors Pick TEDx Speaker, Author and has published over 35 scientific papers on stress, emotion and human performance.
Andrew is on a mission to help 1 million brilliant people use rational thinking to stay brilliant under pressure.
For 10 yrs he worked with Olympians, Professional Athletes, Emergency Service Personnel and Corporate leaders, including 5 years as a Psychologist for The Football Association. Then extremely severe chronic illness (ME/Long COVID) left him entirely bed-bound and he had to use everything he taught, on himself.
Andrew challenges a belief most organisations take for granted : 'Being capable doesn’t make you rational'. Under pressure, brilliant people overreact, avoid hard conversations and carry setbacks for weeks.
Booking Andrew pays back in three ways:
1. Better decisions under pressure to win business.
2. Less conflict, reduce burnout, cut absences and recruitment costs.
3. Faster recovery from setbacks saves time.
He’s researched it.
