Helen Ochyra is a journalist, author and professional speaker who works as an advocate for motherless mothers.

Helen works with the charity The Motherless Mothers as a volunteer, hosting their popular Substack and encouraging motherless mothers to tell their own stories.

Helen can speak about her lived experience as a motherless mother. Helen lost her mother at the age of 34 and has subsequently had three children.

Additionally, Helen was bereaved of her father as a teenager so can speak about adolescent bereavement. As her father was an alcoholic, Helen can also speak about growing up with an alcoholic parent and living as an adult child of an alcoholic.
