John is a mental health advocate, public speaker, and writer whose work has appeared on Channel 4 and the BBC.
John has delivered speeches and workshops to organisations including the Home Office, the London School of Economics, St. John Ambulance, and Royal Mail. John is currently a National Plenary Speaker for Mental Health First Aid England.
After almost ending his life at university, John has used humour and heart to speak out about the ways in which our society shrouds mental health issues in stigma and shame. He has given talks from both a lived experience perspective and as a writer working in TV and film — where he continues to crusade for better representations of mental health!
