Specialisms: Suicide Loss and Prevention, Grief, Parent Loss, Alcohol Abuse, Mental Health, Therapy, Education.

Katie is a dedicated speaker, therapist, and advocate whose work is shaped by profound personal experience.

At just 24, she lost both of her parents within the same year — a life-altering tragedy that reshaped her path and ignited a commitment to helping others navigate grief, mental health challenges, and the complexities of loss.

This led her to leave her former career and build a meaningful, impact-driven life supporting individuals and communities through some of their most difficult moments. With 6 years of experience following teacher training, Katie has developed a strong understanding of young people’s emotional worlds and the environments that shape them. Her work in education naturally transitioned into public speaking, where she brings compassion, clarity, and confidence to every stage she steps onto.

Katie has spoken at schools, charity events, and award ceremonies, reaching audiences from intimate groups of 10 to large gatherings of over 250.

Her speaking topics include:

* Suicide Loss and Prevention

* Grief and Bereavement

* Parent Loss

* Alcohol Abuse

* Mental Health

* Therapy

* Navigating School or University during challenging times.

She delivers each talk with honesty, sensitivity, and a focus on hope and connection.

As a qualified therapist registered with NCPS, Katie practices in a local private setting, supporting clients who present with a wide range of complex issues. Her therapeutic work is grounded in empathy, lived experience, and professional training, allowing her to meet clients where they are with both understanding and expertise. In addition to her private practice, she volunteers her time to Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) Charity to further extend her impact within the community.

Katie’s mission is clear: to use her story, skills, and voice to make a difference — helping others feel seen, supported, and never alone in their struggles.
