Nett’s interests and passion for improving health and care support include end of life care, alcohol addiction, ensuring the patient and public voice in health and care.

Nett Furley has over 45 years’ experience in health and care in the not for profit, third sector and NHS and has been supporting people at end of life for the last 15 years as an end of life doula.

She sits on a number of committees as a patient and public member. This includes NICE (national institute for health and care excellence), NACEL (National Audit for care at end of life) NIHR (national Institute for health and care research) and NHS England. This has provided her with the opportunity to bring the patient and public perspective to clinical guidelines, service development, health and care research and funding of NHS clinical priorities.

She is an end of life doula, a funeral celebrant, an assessor of diplomas, a mentor, a trainer and a coach
