We are so sad to hear of Andrew's passing. Andrew was a great advocate for people with lived experience, challenging stigma and we were very proud that he wanted to be part of Speakers Collective.
Andrew had worked in the voluntary sector for the past thirty years.
A member of the former Mental Health NHS trust at non-executive director and for the past twenty years been employed by Birmingham Mind in various roles.
Andrew was an elected member of Birmingham City Council for eight years.
As a cabinet member successfully lobbied to gain government approval for the transfer of 95000 council housing stock.
Andrew made such a positive impact on the life of others. Our condolences go out his, family, friends and colleagues.
