Role description and overall objective
We are looking for a skilled, passionate social media manager to help grow and develop the Speakers Collective online and social presence.
Manage our Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts
Lead on social media strategy to increase reach and engagement
Create engaging graphics using Canva for social media and events
Liaising with partners and members to obtain assets for campaigns and events
Understand the importance of accessibility on social media
Support with ad-hoc website editing tasks as required e.g. members' blogs
Reporting on social media activity and providing summary reports to the wider team
Nice to have
Experience of using Wix and MailChimp
Experience in managing paid social media campaigns
Creating podcast, using Anchor and Audacity
Experience of video editing e.g. Adobe Premiere or Final Cut
Personal specifications:
A passion for social media
Past experience working in social media/marketing
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Team player
Highly organised
Salary: £10 per hour, invoiced on a monthly basis.
Hours: 5 hours per week for an initial 3-month contract. Note this is a freelance position and you will be responsible for submitting invoices for payment and responsible for your own taxes.
Location: Remote, you will not be expected to travel at all.
