Great Mental Health Day 2026: Finding Support in Everyday Spaces

Friday 30 January 2026, London is marking Great Mental Health Day and we’re delighted to be part of it.

Across the city, mental health support often begins in places that might surprise some people. It starts in the space where we can return to each week: local groups, clubs, teams and shared community spaces where connection and belonging grow naturally.

This year’s Great Mental Health Day celebrates these everyday spaces, recognising the important role they play in helping Londoners talk about mental health, access support and reduce the stigma around asking for help.

We all need community. We all need connection.

One such space we are particularly proud of is The Snug a warm, community-led space in Walthamstow where people can connect, feel supported and take time for their wellbeing.

So to mark the day, why not drop-in to The Snug for our regular Friday morning tea and toast from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm. Then why not join Snug Steps for a relaxed, 45-minute wellbeing walk from The Snug to Lloyd Park and back. Led by myself Jon and Simon. The walk offers friendly company, gentle movement and time to clear your head in a supportive setting. Then we finish with Chat & Chill between 1.30pm to 3pm.
