Andrew shot to fame on series 2 of the smash hit BBC1 reality TV show ‘The Traitors’Andrew shot to fame on series 2 of the smash hit BBC1 reality TV show ‘The Traitors’ < Back Andrew Jenkins Specialisms: Mental health, wellbeing, resilience, trauma, self worth, grieving, loss of identity, effective communication Andrew shot to fame on series 2 of the smash hit BBC1 reality TV show ‘The Traitors’ In 1999, Andrew suffered a horrendous car accident at the age of 21. He was pronounced dead on the side of the road and then spent 4 weeks in a coma fighting for his life. Doctors told his family he had severe brain and if he was to wake from his coma the likely hood was, he would not recognise anyone or be able to walk, talk or use his arms again. Luckily when he woke, he remembered who people were but was told he would never walk again. Andrew proved doctors wrong and with determination and belief learnt to walk again in just a few weeks. Like many young children living in Wales, Andrews dream was to play rugby for his country and run out onto the hollowed turf of the National Stadium. The accident ended all hopes and dreams he had of playing for Wales, but he also lost his identity as a rugby player. The physical injuries Andrew sustained were terrible, but the hardest battle Andrew faced was with his mental health. He bottled his feelings and emotions up for nearly 24 years and has only recently spoke to his family about his mental struggles. Andrew has done a lot of reflecting, studying and self-analysis over the past few years, he is now in a good place in life. After meeting the Doctor who saved his life in 2022 who called Andrew a ‘miracle patient’, he now wants to share his experience to help motivate and inspire others. He does motivational talks to various audiences to help try and break the stigma around mental health, proving to people that you can achieve great things in life even after suffering adversity. Andrew has recently given up his job as an insurance broker to pursue his passion of motivational speaking. He has been given a second chance at life and now wants to give back to others who may have suffered a trauma. Andrew’s inspiring story is one of heart ache, determination, resilience, and grief but also positive and uplifting. He has big plans for 2024 and really hopes to inspire many people and try to help end the stigma around mental health. info@speakerscollective.org First name Last name Email Your Phone Number About Your Event or Project Speaker or Persons Requested Date picker Event Type Select Event Type Address Submit BOOK A SPEAKER OR GET IN TOUCH FOR MORE INFORMATION

I’m a professional speaker, coach, and educator specialising in menstrual wellness and neurodiversity, and I’m a proud Autistic ADHDer. I support women and people with periods to understand their cycle, energy, and nervous system – and I work with organisations and events that want to have more informed, human conversations about menstrual health at work and beyond. Diagnosed with autism and ADHD at 43, a lot suddenly made sense – including why I’d spent years advocating for better menstrual education and fairer systems (social justice has always been my thing). Hormones influence how we think, feel, and function far more than we’re taught, particularly for neurodivergent people. In 2020, learning how to work with my cyclical energy rather than against it was a turning point. What started as a personal coping strategy during autistic burnout became a way of understanding my energy and emotions that I could actually live with, and it quickly grew into a passion for helping others do the same. Now, as a certified Menstrual Wellness Educator, I offer talks, workshops, keynotes, panels, and training – both online and in person. Whether I’m speaking about menstrual wellness, neurodivergence, or the intersection between the two, my sessions are relatable, evidence-based, and educational, with a sprinkle of humour. They’re grounded in lived experience and packed with tangible takeaways people can actually use in their own lives. info@speakerscollective.org First name Last name Email Your Phone Number About Your Event or Project Speaker or Persons Requested Date picker Event Type Select Event Type Address Submit BOOK A SPEAKER OR GET IN TOUCH FOR MORE INFORMATION

He trained at Liverpool John Moores University, after a 20-year career working in mostly large corporate organisations in London, including Accenture, KPMG and PwC, working alongside dozens of major UK, European and international organisations. His work focused on corporate communications, including government relations, and communications strategy development and execution. In 2014/15, Ben had a breakdown which prompted him to rethink his work, work-life balance and plans for the future. At the time of his breakdown, Ben was in a senior role in one of the world's leading professional services organisations (PwC) and subsequently became interested in work-life balance, resilience, and the relationship between mental health and the workplace. Working with a therapist at that time, he came to realise that he had been living with anxiety and depression for years and although pressure at work had been a factor in his breakdown, it was far from the only cause. Ben is passionate about helping others to work out what is going on for them and hopefully to help them reach a better understanding and acceptance so that life becomes more fulfilling. He has worked in the public, private and third sectors, as well as academia. Alongside his therapy practice, Ben teaches at universities, speaks at, and writes about mental health, work-life balance and resilience. His breakdown and subsequent recovery led to his change of career to become a therapist, setting up AMJ Counselling. Ben named AMJ Counselling after his daughter – ‘AMJ’ are her initials. It is a reminder for Ben , if one were needed, of trying to focus on the things that matter in life to him. He was born in Liverpool and is proud of his Irish heritage. He is an activist, not an influencer, he doesn’t chase fame or money. He chases one thing saving lives. Sharing his lived experience, he speaks openly about suicide, mental health, intersex, grief, addiction, identity, and recovery, offering hope to those facing their darkest moments. Born intersex, John faced identity struggles alongside suicidal thoughts and self-harm from a young age. After the sudden death of his father, he attempted suicide through an overdose and was resuscitated. In that moment, he said to the resus nurse, he didn’t want to die, he wanted the pain to stop. That realisation became a turning point, inspiring him to transform his pain into purpose and dedicate his life to helping others so no one feels alone. Over time, John discovered that supporting others also helped him heal. Guiding people through their struggles allowed his nervous system to recover after therapies that hadn’t worked. In 2019, he founded John and Charlie’s Journey , a mental health movement centred around Charlie, a teddy duck who comforted him in his darkest hours. Together, they have met people from all walks of life, including individuals actively planning to end their lives. Thousands have been supported in person, with millions more reached through television and social media. What began as a coping mechanism became a national campaign encouraging open conversations, reducing judgment, challenging stigma, and normalising adults carrying teddys or plushies. John’s work has reached millions worldwide. He has appeared on Sky News , co-created and shared his suicide story on the BAFTA-nominated series Hollyoaks IRL , and campaigned to get 380,000 people off NHS waiting lists and into complex therapy. His on-going campaign to make all UK Police mental health first aid trained. A practising Buddhist, John incorporates mindfulness, meditation, and reflection into both his personal life and to others. He brings a unique perspective on identity, resilience, and overcoming obstacles, shaped by his experiences of loss, diagnosis, and activism. Every morning, John reminds himself, and the people he meets: "You are loved. You are wanted. You are needed. The mood is temporary." Through John and Charlie’s Journey , he continues to challenge stigma, inspire hope, and save lives. The root cause of our suffering is when we think, when we stop thinking, that is when happiness starts to bloom, we find peace. info@speakerscollective.org First name Last name Email Your Phone Number About Your Event or Project Speaker or Persons Requested Date picker Event Type Select Event Type Address Submit BOOK A SPEAKER OR GET IN TOUCH FOR MORE INFORMATION
